Bio.

Born and raised in Mechanicsville, Virginia, Ava recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Commercial Music: Performance from Liberty University. Now, she is pursing her master’s in music. Coming from a long-line of talented family, Ava’s singing career began with her first solo at the tender age of three. She wowed the audience with her rendition of the popular Gaither song “I Am a Promise” and she has been performing on stage ever since. Also known as “Sunshine Girl” by her friends and fans for her bright and friendly personality, Ava grew up singing gospel and traditional country music. She also has experience with other genres including bluegrass, musical theatre, jazz, and classical techniques. 

Ava was the winner of the 2022 Old Dominion Barn Dance Talent Search, Virginia’s legendary country music show. She dazzled the judges and audience with her classic country vocals, beauty and grace. Ava is currently a lead vocalist in Liberty University’s gospel bluegrass band, E-41, which travels to areas surrounding Lynchburg, VA. She has sung our National Anthem over 200 times, including at the Virginia State Capitol, 9/11 memorial services, fire department events, festivals, as well as many college basketball and baseball games. Ava also has a newly formed country band, which focuses on keeping real country music alive. Since their start, they have performed alongside respected headlining artists such as Rhonda Vincent and the Rage, High Road, and Aaron Tippin. You can also find Ava making appearances in the Smith Mountain Lake area with the popular cover band, Big Matt and the Time Machine, and their adjacent traveling bluegrass band, Smith Mountain Mosaic. Her sunny energy continues to captivate audiences with her ability to entertain all ages while spreading her love for the Lord and country music.
